More than basic conversion
Turn PDF pages into exactly the images you need
Rantey combines normal page conversion with publishing-oriented layouts. Separate images work for editing and sharing. A long image joins a guide, conversation or visual report vertically. A contact sheet creates a compact overview for reviews, archives and client approvals.
JPG vs PNG vs WebP for PDF pages
| Format | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| JPG | Photos, email and universal sharing | Small files with adjustable lossy quality |
| PNG | Text, diagrams and transparency | Lossless but usually larger |
| WebP | Web publishing and modern apps | Efficient quality; older software may not support it |
Choosing DPI without wasting memory
PDF pages use physical dimensions. Higher DPI creates more pixels, sharper print output and larger files. For phones and email, 96 to 150 DPI is normally practical. For print, 300 DPI is a common choice. The tool blocks unusually large canvases and processes pages sequentially so high-resolution jobs are less likely to freeze a mobile browser.
Private browser-based PDF rendering
PDF.js opens and renders the selected document in your browser. Images and ZIP files are created locally and are not uploaded to Rantey. Complex PDFs, unusual fonts and very large pages can require more memory. Password-protected files are not supported, and interactive PDF features become static pixels in image output.
