More than a basic photo joiner
Merge pictures side by side, vertically or as a grid
Different jobs need different arrangements. A side-by-side image is useful for before-and-after comparisons and product choices. A vertical merge can join mobile screenshots, instructions or scanned sections. A photo grid keeps a larger set compact. Rantey includes all three approaches and lets you change the arrangement without uploading the same files again.

Fill each cell or show the complete photo?
Fill each cell creates a clean edge-to-edge grid. It may crop the top, bottom or sides when source photos have different proportions. Show whole image keeps every source photo completely visible and fills the unused area with your selected background color. Use a fixed cell ratio when consistency matters, or choose Match photos to base the cells on the average proportions of the current images.
Output size and image format guide
For ordinary sharing, 1080 or 1600 pixels wide is usually practical. Choose 2400 or 3200 pixels when the collage needs more detail, but remember that a wide horizontal row or tall vertical stack can create a very large image. JPG is efficient for photographs, PNG is useful for lossless graphics and transparency, and WebP often creates a smaller web-ready file. Always inspect the result at its intended display size.
Private image combining in your browser
The selected files are opened through your browser and drawn into a local canvas. They are not sent to Rantey or saved to an account. The 12-image, 120 MB, 40-megapixel-per-source and 50-megapixel-output limits reduce the chance that a large project freezes a phone or low-memory browser. Processing demand stays on the visitor’s device rather than the web server.

How do I combine two images side by side?+
Add both images, choose Side by side, arrange their order with the arrow buttons or drag and drop, then choose Combine and download.
Can I combine more than two photos?+
Yes. Rantey combines up to 12 JPG, PNG or WebP images in a horizontal row, vertical stack, two-column grid, three-column grid or an automatically selected grid.
How do I stop images from being cropped?+
Set Image fit to Show whole image. Empty space inside each cell uses your selected background color. Choose Fill each cell when you prefer an edge-to-edge collage.
Can I change the order of photos?+
Yes. Drag photo cards into a new order on desktop, or use the left and right arrow buttons on desktop and mobile.
Can I add spacing and rounded corners?+
Yes. Adjust the gap between images, outer padding, corner radius and background color while watching the live preview.
Which output formats are supported?+
Download the combined image as JPG, PNG or WebP. JPG and WebP include a quality control, while PNG preserves lossless pixels and transparency where supported.
Are my photos uploaded?+
No. Images are decoded, arranged and exported locally in your browser. Rantey does not receive or store them.
Does the image combiner work on mobile?+
Yes. The interface adapts to phones and tablets. Sequential file loading and output safety limits help reduce browser memory problems.
